Growing Hope began its journey in 1979 as Growing Home, with a simple but powerful mission: to strengthen children and families. Over the decades, the work expanded into South Carolina, where it quickly built a trusted reputation for care and community impact. By the 2000s, the South Carolina branch had become a cornerstone of family support services across the state. In 2004, following the closing of the original parent organization, the South Carolina branch officially incorporated as Growing Home Southeast, Inc., ensuring that its vital work would continue to thrive.
In 2025, the organization embraced a new chapter with a bold rebrand to Growing Hope: a name that reflects the energy, vision, and future-focused mission of the team. Today, Growing Hope continues to redefine, reorganize, and re-energize how it serves children and families across the region. At our core, we believe every child and family can be safer, stronger, and more hopeful for the future.
